American Woman In Color for Fall 2018
I love color in clothing, makeup and accessories. Gem tones mixed with your Fall wardrobe is nearly as stunning as the real (and sometimes man made) emerald, sapphire, garnet and ruby.
Bright and saturated colors contrast with my skin moving it from pasty to pearl. My eyes show more color with the right earrings, shadow or lipstick. Gem colors can create a standout statement look or add the perfect pop of color.
I saw so many posts this week showcasing the royals in jewel tones and so I thought now is as good a time as any to share some of my favorite gem colored clothes, make up and accessories.
On a side note Pippa SLAYED…not to mention the handsome men at each side!
Looks I love…

My other obsessions right now… Iconic Hair…
Long Red Nails…
Plaid…(Pants are from Maggie Rose Boutique in Summerville)
Persian Culture, Beauty and Style… including a fascination with The Shahs of Sunset. Did you hear that MJ is Preggo?!? Yay! I would say of most of the Reality TV shows I know, this group seems to genuinely love, support and protect each other. I love that, and they are super cha-chi and own it… so it’s really the best. I LOVE them!
My Biggest Style Obsession this Fall is for anything American Woman-esque.
Have you watched American Woman on the Paramount Network yet? The Style is Golden. I love this show.
Kyle Richards of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is the producer of the American Woman which is loosely based on her childhood.
Kyle’s sister Kim Richards was also on RHOBH and was a child actor in the Disney movie Escape to Witch Mountain. I don’t remember watching that, but do remember Pete’s Dragon which came out around the same time.
On The Real Housewives Kim seemed to me to be incredibly kind hearted, delicate and kooky while facing a substance abuse issue, a difficult circle of friends and a new season in her life as a single empty nester with a naughty puppy.
Kyle Richards seemed more grounded with a beautiful and sassy young daughter, a killer cartwheel/split, a ponytail twirl…
AND a hunky husband named Mauricio.
In addition both women have absolutely stunning daughters. Kim and Kyle’s other sister is Kathy Hilton who is also the mother of two beautiful daughters Nikki and Paris.
Nikki and Paris where everywhere I wanted to be in the early 2000’s.
What I am most drawn to is Alicia Silverstone’s portrayal of an empowered woman navigating single motherhood in Beverly Hills while raising two daughters in the 1970’s.
I love it in the way I loved Madmen’s portrayal of the Betty Draper and life for women in the sixties.
One of our highlites this weekend was going to the pumpkin patch! I hope you have an amazing week and I will write more soon.
Sending love to you and yours from sunny Summerville SC,
